NANCY GLAZE FRIEDRICH, BA, CCHT, Shamanic Practitioner

Nancy offers shamanic counseling, healing and instruction for those interested in integrating cross-cultural approaches to their healing and well-being.  As a graduate of the FSS 3-year program, she enjoys sharing the effective methods of core shamanism in her private practice.  Nancy has a special love of the wisdom ways and medicine circle perspectives, and integrates the universal principles of the Four Fold WayTM Educational Program taught by Angeles Arrien, PhD into her healing sessions.  Nancy has over 30 years experience practicing the healing arts including midwifery, women’s health education, therapeutic imagery, hypnotherapy and shamanic healing. Her background provides varied skills that are utilized to assist clients on their individual paths. Nancy teaches Wuji Gong, a Medical Buddhist Qigong form as another healing method in her community.  She skillfully joins modern day mind/body/spirit methods with her exploration of cross-cultural ancient wisdom tools.

Nancy lives in Maui, Hawaii and teaches for The Foundation for Shamanic Studies in addition to her private practice.

As an Okanagon/Tsalagi (Cherokee), I am a student of my heritage and that of many other traditional peoples. I am also a modern woman, living in a wounded world. Modern people have been "Dis-Membered," scattered to the Four Directions. Many have lost access to DNA knowledge passed down through our ancestral lineages. It is my desire to share what I have been taught in ways that will help each student to "Re-Member" themselves and their innate
heritage. I am a bridge between ancient indigenous traditions and European cultures.

I was taught by Beaver Chief of the Lummi tribe: Hopi messenger Thomas Banyacya; Siberian Shamans Misha, Mingo and Nadyashta Duvan; Hawaiin L'au Lapa'au, Henry Awae; Kupuna, Nahi Gutzman; Hinewahrangi and Auntie Raina Ferris of the Maori people and Aboriginal elder Gagadju. These honored elders have shared so much ~ teaching, prophecy, ritual, ceremonies, Shamanic Healing, chants, and dances to balance our lives and our planet. My work incorporates story, chant and/or dance, shamanic journeying, and personal healing sessions.

I am honored to have the opportunity to share these Sacred Ways with you.
